Changelog
What has landed
By the day it shipped, newest first. Each line is a change a member can see or use; the engineering record behind it is longer and lives with the code.
30 September 2026
- On the phone: a People tab with everyone in your contacts, found as you type, and a call, a WhatsApp or an email one press from their name.
- Search the diary on the phone by artist, venue, city or promoter, across every date.
- Adding a hold on the phone shows what the artist already has that day before you add it.

The whole product is in one typeface, Geist, and body text is finally in it too: until now reading text fell back to each device's system font. The site's first screen asks who you are, and what it says and where it leads follow your answer, all the way into setting up your workspace.
- Promoters sign contracts online, on your own wording or your uploaded agreement, agreeing to sign electronically first; you countersign on the booking.
- The site's hero offers four ways in: I run an agency, I'm an artist, I manage artists, I run a label. Your choice changes the sentence under it and the next step, and Start free carries it into setting up, so you are not asked twice.
- The header is Product, Who it is for and Pricing; the company pages are in the footer.
- The sign-in page leads back to the site.
- An artist's page counts only the shows that went ahead as played, and says when a show coming up is still an enquiry.
- Sign in with a password, a code from your email, or a passkey on your phone or laptop. Add or change a password, and add passkeys, under Your account.
- Setting up is three short steps: your name, which kind of desk you run, and the workspace. The overview then lists the first steps for that desk until they are done or you put them away. A label starts with its releases.
- The sample month is marked Sample and never counts against your plan.
- Help is in the menu for everyone in a workspace: how to reach us, what is new, and the shortcuts.
- Install Setdesk on your phone from the browser, with tonight's show and the numbers to call a tap from your home screen.
- The search box does as well as finds: type New booking, Add contact or Invite someone, or go anywhere. Outside a field, N starts a new booking and G then a letter goes somewhere.
- Adding a booking never sends you away: the fee is on the form, and a new promoter or venue is added in place. After adding an artist, their first booking is one press.
- Issue and send is one press, after a preview of what the promoter receives. Every fresh link can also go on WhatsApp.
- Needs answering now asks about paper that was never sent, shows that were played but not closed, shows never invoiced, and enquiries gone quiet. Contracts and invoices say when the promoter first opened them.
- Countersigning a contract moves the booking to contracted.
- Send the promoter one page for the show: the contract to sign, the invoices to pay and the advance sheet, each opened from there.
- The promoter fills in their side of the advance sheet, who meets the artist, pickup, hotel and tech, and confirms it; you see it on the booking.
- A link that has closed names who sent it and asks them for a new one in one press.
- Outside South Africa, a workspace names its own sales tax and rate, keeps its time zone and prints its postal address on invoices.
- Each booking shows who did what, and who looks after it; the diary filters to your bookings.
- Add a residency or a run in one go: repeat a booking every week, or on other dates, each its own booking with the same terms. Duplicate any booking from its page.
- Tasks on a booking, each with a due date and who it is for; yours are listed on the overview.
- Share a booking's commission between agents, or with an agent outside the agency, and see commission by agent in Reports.
- On the phone, Today leads with what needs answering, and an enquiry, a signed contract, a paid or late invoice, a hold about to lapse, an answer to a release or a demo arrives as a notification.
- A cancelled plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Invitations expire after 30 days, and can be sent again.
- Each show has a guest list: names, plus-ones and a note for the door, counted against the deal's guest list places, with a warning when the list runs over. The artist adds to it from the booking or the phone, and the promoter's door reads it on the advance link and its PDF.
- A release can go out at a day and time you choose, on your workspace's clock, instead of now. Move the time or cancel it until then; the release page says when it goes out, and the inbox tells you when it went, or why it did not.
- Change many at once: tick bookings on the diary's list to mark them completed or move their stage, tick invoices awaiting payment on the money page to mark them paid, and merge two contacts or two organisations into one, with everything on the duplicate moving to the one you keep. Invoices marked paid together arrive as one email.
- On the phone: a Diary tab with every show ahead, yours or everyone's; confirm a hold, put an enquiry on hold or cancel a booking from its screen; and tasks, yours on Today and each booking's on its screen, ticked off with a tap.
- The page you send the promoter for a show carries the guest list, so it is the one link the door needs. Guest names are deleted 30 days after the show, and are in your workspace's data export until then.

Money has one meaning: a show's settlement is the truth, and the booking's stages follow it. Plans are priced in US dollars outside South Africa.
- Pages are flat, with one level of boxes: a section is a heading and a hairline, and only things that are objects, a booking or a release, sit in a card.
- Figures read as figures: money, dates and times in the text face with even digits, and the monospace kept for codes such as a booking reference or an invoice number.
- Settled means paid and done. Settling the money moves a played show to Settled, and a show still to come cannot be settled.
- The currency is yours by default: sign-up offers the currency of the country you are in first, and a new artist takes the workspace's.
- An artist linked to an agency lands on a page about them: their next show with the set, arrival and soundcheck, whether the advance is ready, their travel, and what they have to do.
- Outside South Africa, Pro and Agency are priced in US dollars, billed through Paddle, which handles the sales tax.
- The terms, the privacy notice and a refund policy are in force: a first payment on a paid plan is refunded in full within 14 days.
23 September 2026
- The overview is where you land: tonight and the next seven days, what needs answering most urgent first, the month's money, and the latest from the inbox.
- Money can be filtered by date, artist, status and settlement, and sorted; Reports show fees, commission, what was paid in and what is owed over any period, with a download.
- Every email arrives on a branded page, and a promo arrives as a release announcement.
- Every page a promoter or a recipient opens carries the agency's name at its head.
22 September 2026
- The site and the app take the poster's look: black, with halftone photographs from the floor of real shows.
21 September 2026
Appearance is a setting under Settings, Your account: dark, the default, or light, or System, which follows the device. Titles are in Monument Extended. The marketing site is rebuilt as a poster on real screens of a sample workspace, with security, contact, changelog and about pages.
- Contacts import from CSV and vCard: columns are guessed from their headers, a mapping step shows the first rows, and the preview says how many are new, how many matched by email and how many were skipped and why. A contacts CSV export sits beside the POPIA one.
- Bookings import from a diary spreadsheet: date, artist, venue, city, fee, status and promoter, with artists and venues created or matched. Every import is a batch that can be reverted while nothing depends on its rows.
- Tags on contacts, on the row, the form and the import, filtered on the contacts page, and chosen at a send so a release goes to a list rather than to everyone with an email.
- The demo inbox is the workspace's own: a brief for submitters, genres as chips, a closed state with a reason, and a memorable address at the workspace's handle beside the token link.
20 September 2026
- Itineraries on a booking: flights, drives, trains, a hotel stay and ground transport, each with its times in a named zone, on the booking, the week view, the calendar feed, the advance PDF and an itinerary PDF for the artist.
- Access per module for every member: diary, paper, contacts, promos and money, each none, read or write, set on the members page. Owners and admins write everywhere.
- Search across the workspace from the sidebar, or with cmd or ctrl K: bookings, contacts, organisations, artists, invoices and contracts, grouped.
- Ownership transfer: the owner names an admin, holds to confirm, and both seats swap.
- Try it with a sample month: from an empty diary or onboarding, one artist and six bookings across every state, with the paper and a release, cleared again in one press.
- The pricing catalogue: Free for one artist, Pro at R499.00 a month for a roster and a team, Agency at R1 499.00 for any size, annual at ten months for twelve, prices including VAT. Every feature is on every plan; the plans differ by size.
- A public API at /api/v1, the ground a phone app is being built on.
- Errors and page speed are watched in production, with the workspace named on each report and never a person's email.
19 September 2026
- The inbox: a line for every thing that happened in the workspace (a booking confirmed, a contract signed, an invoice paid, a demo received, a recipient's answer), newest first, with the unread mark in the sidebar.
- This week: tonight first, then the next seven days, each show a card with the venue on a map, the times, the promoter and the ground contact one tap away, and the advance inline.
- The booking page on a phone leads with the show, then the money in one line, then the invoices and the contract.
- Bonuses with a trigger, a booking commission and a management commission on their own bases, costs with who bears them, and withholding tax, with every figure on the money page, the statement and the invoice from one calculation.
- Artist statements as a PDF per booking and per period, and a month-end CSV, on Pro and Agency.
- Organisations for venues, promoters, labels and agencies, and a contact's history on their page: every booking, release, demo and invoice.
- Calendar feeds per workspace and per artist, confirmed and contracted shows only, revocable from settings; an .ics file on the advance email.
- The booking enquiry form on the handle page, with availability windows and a pause message, and templated replies when a hold is pencilled or an enquiry declined.
- Promo reminders at seven and fourteen days to anyone who has not answered, an unsubscribe link in every promo email, and a shareable report per release.
- Deposit and balance invoices with due dates from the deal terms, payment reminders before and after the due date, and a hold expiry nudge at 48 hours.
- Account deletion under Settings, refused while the person is the only owner of a workspace with other members.
